Arcangelo comes from a region in southern Italy where the cult of Isis continued to thrive long after the rise of Christianity. In his work, the Egyptian cult is evoked through recurrent verbal and visual allusions, as are the myths and customs of other archaic cultures, from African gods and spirits to Christian madonnas. |
Arcangelo
